Autumn Term - Design and Technology
In one of our Design and Technology lessons, we looked at biscuits and their packaging and thought about who might buy them. We also tasted some biscuits and described their appearance, texture and taste.
In November, Key Stage 2 were visited by Owl Time. We learnt about owls in the wild and watched a fascinating display from some of the owls. Then there was a chance for everyone to have their photo taken with Casper the Barn Owl if they wanted to. It was a wonderful day had by all...well, almost all as a few students and STAFF were not too keen on this magnificent bird of prey.
As part of our 'Ancient Greece' topic, we used clay to create our own symbols to represent different Greek Gods and Goddesses. We designed a range of symbols and chose our favourite to make out of clay, by using a range of techniques. After this, we improved our work by using poster paint to complete our Greek symbols.
