Warren Primary School - Working in Partnership for Success

Statement of Intent

Warren Primary School is committed to working in partnership with children, parents, carers and the wider community to ensure success for all pupils in all areas of their lives. We are dedicated to offering all children the opportunity to develop, succeed and achieve in a safe, happy and inclusive environment - regardless of their individual ability, gender, beliefs, ethnic heritage or language.

We recognise the importance of supporting all individuals in identifying and developing their strengths and helping them to find ways to cope positively with their weaknesses.

We provide opportunities for everyone every day to maximise their intellectual, physical, social and spiritual potential. We strive to ensure that every individual has a positive self image.

We believe that there are two major prerequisites for successful teaching and learning. Firstly, a secure, well organised, caring environment and secondly mutual respect for each other, acknowledging the right to be different.

This respect also encompasses caring for our building, our grounds and the community and wider environment, in which we live and work.

In preparing our young people for their future lives we recognise the necessity to teach key literacy and numeracy skills along with the thinking, learning and technological skills which will enable them to succeed and become true lifelong learners.

We expect everyone to strive to attain the highest possible educational and behavioural standards at all times and aim to enrich the learning and lives of children by providing the opportunities to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially through a broad, balanced and creatively delivered curriculum, where everyone has the freedom to initiate and take responsibility for their own learning.
