Warren Primary School - Working in Partnership for Success

Newsletter 12L - 21 July 2008

Dear Parents/Carers,

So at last we come to the end of another academic year and what a year it has been.

We have celebrated a decade of success with an excellent OFSTED report, we have gained Healthy Schools status; the intermediate award for International Schools and have become only the second school in Thurrock to have achieved the BECTA kite mark for ICT.

My heartfelt thanks to all the staff and parents/carers who have worked with Mrs Walton, Mr Mynott and Mrs Tyler in helping us achieve these awards. Special thanks must go to Mrs Milne, Mrs Lloyd, Mrs Kemp, Mrs Boolkah and Mrs Livingstone who did so much to make our birthday celebrations such good fun for the children.

We do have some 10th birthday bone china commemorative mugs for sale for just £5.00 if you would like to order one from the office.

We say good bye to Miss Demain, Mrs Stafford, Mrs Chapman and Mrs Blundell and thank them for all their hard work and wish them the very best for the future. We say welcome to Mrs Davey who will be teaching in Year 2 and welcome back to Mrs Rix.

We say congratulations to Miss Parker, Miss Wilmore, Miss Dickinson and Miss Bienvenu who will be getting married in the holidays. They will become Mrs Burton, Mrs Witherden, Mrs Raven and Mrs Cartlidge, respectively.

We also say good bye to our Year 6 pupils who are moving on to their secondary schools. We wish them well for the future and hope that in their hearts they will continue to be "Warren Wayers."

A reminder for next term that school dinners cost £1.60 and must be paid for in advance.

Finally, I would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday.

We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 3 September 2008.
