About the Nursery

Our nursery opened in September 2001 and accommodates 26 children each morning and 26 each afternoon.

Children are admitted to the Nursery in the September following their third birthday. If the Nursery is over subscribed then places are offered first to the eldest children who live within our catchment area in accordance with Thurrock?s admissions criteria.

A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school.

The curriculum followed by the Nursery is taken from the Foundation Stage curriculum and covers the following areas:

   ·  Personal, social and emotional development

   ·  Communication, language and literacy

   ·  Mathematical development

   ·  Knowledge and understanding of the world

   ·  Physical development

   ·  Creative development

The curriculum is delivered through play and your child's progress will be assessed against the "early learning goals."
